I was born in Istanbul, and have been able to see a great deal of this magic city. The history of Istanbul dates back to Byzantine times, and from then the buildings stand side by side with modern ones and the old & the modern seem to have blended in the eyes of people. Most people do not even consider the time difference in which those buildings were built but I try to conceive each palace, each church, each mosque from the perspective of its individual time frame and perspective. My passion for design began at a very early age and my mother has had a very strong influence on my preference.
My mother has studied History of Art and taught at Hacettepe University. Her teachings and her taste passed on to me ever since I was quite young. I would like to design homes for people with many different tastes and needs. I know it is very hard to satisfy people’s individual needs but it is really rewarding in the end if that can be achieved. I will do my best to develop an international vision so that I can design extraordinary homes for Spanish, or for a Brazilian. I wish to work in your company to show my full ability and my passion to became an architect. I have graduated from the University of Kent School of Architecture. I was awarded Upper Second Class in Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Architecture which is equivalent to 3,27 GPA.
I have taken trainee positions at two different interior design companies before my undergraduate and in 2016, I took an interior design course at the Nuova Academia di Bella Arti in Milan.
In 2019, I was a trainee in “Mesa Bodrum”, which is a villa-residence project that prioritizes harmony with nature. It was an instructive and awareness-raising experience for my career in architecture.
In 2021, after graduation, I had a chance to work in “Natuzzi” furniture company in Istanbul. Research into innovative designs, the process of monitoring was carried out from furniture design to manufacturing at the factory.
I find my best way of expression in riding. I am currently a licensed professional rider at the Istanbul Equestrian Club (IASK) and currently participating in competitions. I attended the University of Kent International Foundation Program to prepare myself for the first steps of my architectural career.
Later on, my career towards architecture at “Autoban” Company which is an internationally renowned, Istanbul-based multidisciplinary design studio, has motivated to continue my career into an environmental green business. Autoban works across architecture and interiors, product, and experiential design forging a reputation for thoughtfulness, experimentation, and craftsmanship.
I am currently working at “Renk Su ve Enerji Sistemleri” company to satisfy architectural building design by adding solar panels to the roof of many people’s house and companies factories which is giving me the desire to built sustainable houses which is gaining energy from sun.
Completing the interior design course at the University of the Arts London (UAL) has broadened my vision, starting my career as an Architectural Environmental Engineer, satisfying my vision and interest in construction, from sustainable efficiency to interior design to exterior design perspectives.
Completing my undergraduate equivalence program at Yıldız Technical University with a commendable average of 3.29 has been a significant milestone in my journey toward becoming an architect.
In my pursuit of registration with the Chamber of Architects of Turkey, I diligently followed the courses outlined in my adaptation petition. This process necessitated the completion of various compulsory subjects, including restoration, structural system designs, building information, building analysis, and assembly project work. By engaging in these modules, I gained invaluable knowledge and practical experience, equipping me with the necessary skills to excel in architectural practice.
In my journey toward becoming an architect, I was eager to enrich my knowledge by pursuing major courses in both Turkish and English architectural institutions. Turkey, with its rich architectural heritage and diverse educational offerings, had provided me with a deeper understanding of the local context and design practices. Simultaneously, England's prestigious architectural programs enlightened my vision for global perspectives, innovative approaches, and cutting-edge technologies.
In conclusion, my completion of the undergraduate equivalence program at Yıldız Technical University, the research conducted for my thesis project, and my commitment to continuous professional development have solidified my passion for sustainable architectural design.
